As its name suggested, the Paul Picot Firshire Extra Flat Manual watch falls in the Firshire collection. The word Firshire refers to the Switzerland Franches-Montagnes region, a place marking the heart of watchmaking.

The new Paul Picot Firshire Extra Flat Manual watch comes in an elegant round case. It is extremely flat and measured in 40 mm. Crafted in stainless steel, the watch case has a winding crown at three o’clock. The extremely thin watch is able to resist water to 30 meters.

Shielded by a top quality sapphire crystal, the dial of the Paul Picot Firshire Extra Flat Manual watch demonstrates a black lacquered background or a white lacquered one. Artistic Arabic numerals are worked as the hour markers for the black lacquered dial, while eye-catching Roman numerals are designed as the hour markers of the white lacquered one. The dial of Paul Picot Firshire Extra Flat Manual watch captures time through two centralized hands, pointing to the hours and the seconds, as well as the small seconds at the 6 o’clock counter. The dial is elegant and pure.

The hours, minutes, and seconds functions are animated by a Peseusx 7001 movement. It is a hand-would calibre and reserves power to 42 hours.

The aesthetic and pure beauty of the Paul Picot Firshire Extra Flat Manual watch would not be complete without the metal bracelet or the leather strap. It secures the timepiece elegantly to one’s wrist.

In general, the Paul Picot Firshire Extra Flat Manual watch is just the perfect watch for elegant and noble ladies.

Cyril Ratel Urban Watch, a Watch with Metropolitan Feel

March 18th, 2011

It is hard to believe that a watch could give one the metropolitan feel. But the new Cyril Ratel model does manage to do that. It is the Cyril Ratel Urban Watch. Below, please follow me to personally feel the timepiece.
Cyril Ratel Urban Watch
The design of the new Cyril Ratel Urban Watch has its inspiration from the designs of the megalopolises including Hong Kong, Miami and New York. The metropolitan feel is capsulated in the architecture of case and the design of the dial.

The case of the new Cyril Ratel watch is crafted in stainless steel with its surface treated with black PVD. This kind of material and treatment pave the background of its metropolitan feel. It is designed in round with a diameter of 44 mm. The construction of the winding crown at three o’clock as well as the two joints which link the case with the strap is the highlight of the case. Combined, they further accentuate the magnificent metropolitan feel of the watch.

Also contributing a part to the metropolitan feel of the watch is its dial. It is crafted in a black background. The hour markers in it are composed of Arabic numerals as well as the square-shaped indexes. They are displaying a contrast white color to the black dial and ensure the clear dial visibility. Gliding over the indexes are two luminous hands, pointing to the hour and minutes respectively. At three o’clock is a large date exhibition while the golden brand logo is showcased at six o’clock. This concrete design of the dial expresses the magnificent feel of the watch.

The heart of the new Urban watch is a self-winding or a quartz movement with a rhythm of 28,800v/h and a power reserve of 42 hours.

The new timepiece is teamed up with a black rubber strap and a push-button folding clasp. They complete the metropolitan feel of the Cyril Ratel Urban Watch.

Tiret Automatic Chronograph Titanium Watch – A Designer Watch for Fashion People

March 7th, 2011

Tiret launches a new chronograph as a fashion gift to its watch fans – the new Automatic Chronograph Titanium Watch. It is a timepiece housing fashion, elegance and precision all in one. Let’s take a look.

As its named implied, the new Tiret model is made of titanium, the modern light material for a watch. Its case looks chunky with short branches stretching out from the bezel. Both the branches and the bezel are presented in grey, making a nice-looking contrast to the silver case. At three o’clock of the case is set with a winding crown whose two sides are adorned with one pusher respectively. They ensure its working functions as a chronograph.

The dial is completed in a black background. The hour markers are artistically blended with Arabic numerals at two and four o’clock. At three o’clock are the date and day displays while at counter nine o’clock is the seconds sub-dial. The 30 minutes subdial is showcased at below 12 o’clock while a balanced 12 hours sub-dial is at above 9 o’clock. The time is captured by three centralized hands – the hour, minute and second hands. Each of them is well crafted in a black background with the indexes blending strips and Arabic hours. The red strips in the 12 hours counter and the 30 minutes counter give a fashion touch to the dial design. All the chic designs are well protected by a sapphire crystal face. To speak in a general sense, the dial presents a modern feel to anyone who looks at it.

The new model of Tiret is powered by a customized movement for Tiret, the ETA 7750 movement.

Rounding off the modern feel of the Automatic Chronograph Titanium Watch is a classic black leather strap which perfectly coordinates with the black dial. It is secured to the wrist with a folding clasp.

Angular Momentum – Classis Artisan BigBigDate Watch

February 25th, 2011

The Classis Artisan BigBigDate watch from Angular Momentum is a surprise to the chorological world recently with its distinctive calendar design.

The name of the watch, Classis Artisan BigBigDate, has actually given some hint to the character of the watch. As one could see from the watch, the dial is surrounded by sixteen large Arabic numbers. There is no way that those Arabic numbers are the markers of the hours and minutes. In fact, they are the indications of the days of the month. They mark the odd days of the month and the date is indicated by the red strip in the dial. This design stands out the watch among the analog timepieces as most of the analog timepieces show the date with an aperture window in a rotating disk.

Another specialty about the watch is the position of the black numbers. Instead of being craved on the dial, the black numbers are applied on the back side of the watch face which is made of sapphire crystal through the Verre Eglomise technique. The central hands, crafted from steel and showed in black, point to the hour and minute respectively, with the hour hand shaped with a leaf end and the minute hand in strip.

Both the case face and the back are made of the sapphire crystal. The case is measured in 39mm with a round bezel circling it. Both the bezel and the case are made of 1.4435Cnu Staybrite steel. At three o’clock of the case is imposed with a winding crown which has an onyx cabochon on it. The movement of the watch is a Swiss made ultra-flat hand-wound movement.

This special watch is rounded off by a black alligator leather strap.

With such a unique look, the timepiece would be a good fit for individuals who are looking for originality.
