Maurice Lacroix’s North America Distribution Plan under Harmut Kraft

January 29th, 2011

The Swiss watch company Maurice Lacroix is now planning to bring out a new exclusive distribution in North America. The CEO or Maurice Lacroix, Martin Bachmann, and the famous distributor, Hartmut Kraft, have signed recently an agreement about the distribution of the brand in North America.

This move is under the great background that Maurice Lacroix has completed its North American market restructuring. And the choice of making Harmut Kraft as the president of Maurice Lacroix of North America is because of the great success Harmut has made about Chronoswiss in the U.S. The cooperation with Hartmut is believed by the brand to be a smart move.
Here goes the plan of Maurice Lacroix’s North America distribution. In phase one, Hartmut will launch aggressive marketing and sales strategy to capture the retail landscape. The goal is to maximize profitability for the brand’s retail partners so that the number of authorized agents could grow to 120 in five years. To achieve the goal, Maurice Lacroix would bring out an entirely new product line with unique designs and edge-cutting movements with incomparable price. The final destiny of the move is to reshape the market landscape of mid-level priced mechanical watches in North America. Hartmut believed that under his strategy, Marice Lacroix would bring surprise to both the U.S. retailers and the customers.

The fact is Maurice Lacroix has launched six movements developed and designed entirely in-house.  This year during the Baselworld, it’ll further launch the first two automatic calibers developed in-house.

Now, let’s just wait and see what surprise Maurice Lacroix would bring under Hartmut Kraft’s direction.
